Sorting Alphabetically is a great trick that everyone should know about when using Google Sheets. Setting it up is a super simple process, and I will walk you through it. With these steps, you can divide all of your data from A->Z and from Z->A
Step #1: Highlight the Range
First, you will want to highlight the range that you want to alphabetize. Make sure that you only highlight the cells that you want to be rearranged.
Step #2: Sort by Range
The next step will be to access the "Data" menu and select either of the two "Sort Range by Column" options, "A-Z" or "Z-A"
Sorting A-Z
Sorting A-Z will alphabetize your cells, with A at the top and ending with Z at the bottom.
Sorting Z-A
Sorting Z-A will inversely alphabetize your cells, with Z at the top and ending with A at the bottom.
And that is how you alphabetize and divide your cells in Google Sheets.
